Terms of use
These terms govern your use of trusteeworks.co.za and any products purchased from it, operated by TrusteeWorks ("we", "us").
1. Nature of the products
TrusteeWorks's products are practical tools to help trustees and directors manage their body corporate or scheme more effectively. They are governance and management aids — not legal advice — and are not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified attorney, auditor, or managing agent for your specific scheme. TrusteeWorks does not act as your managing agent, auditor, or legal counsel by providing these products.
2. License to use
On purchase, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the products for your own scheme's governance. You may not resell, redistribute, share, or publish the files or their contents, in whole or part, to any third party.
3. Intellectual property
All content, templates, and design in these products remain the intellectual property of TrusteeWorks.
4. No guarantee of outcomes
While these products are built to reflect sound governance practice, we make no guarantee that using them will prevent disputes, regulatory findings, or other outcomes for your scheme. Sectional title law and CSOS practice can change, and your scheme's specific circumstances may require advice beyond the scope of these products.
5. Product updates over time
Legislation, regulations, and best-practice guidance referenced in these products may change. TrusteeWorks updates the content where reasonably possible to stay aligned with the STSMA, the Prescribed Management Rules, and other applicable legislation, but does not guarantee that any given version reflects the most recent legal position at every moment. Significant updates may be offered to existing customers at no additional cost, made available via the same download link or account area used for your original purchase — verifying current legal requirements remains your responsibility for decisions with material consequences.
6. Support
Support is provided via info@trusteeworks.co.za or our blog, at TrusteeWorks's discretion. This isn't a guaranteed-response-time service, and general questions answered publicly are educational in nature, not advice on your specific circumstances.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrusteeWorks is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of these products, including reliance on their content for legal or financial decisions.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
